WHY IS ICD AVRASA'S "VENDOR OF THE MONTH"? ICD was selected by the Executive Board of AVRASA as the Vendor of the Month because of their dedication and committment to the field of Rehabilitation for over 9 decades. In addition, ICD has been extremely instrumental in recognizing and treating Substance Abuse as a co-occuring disorder for persons with physical, mental, developmental and emotional disabilities. As a result, they pioneered the first substance abuse program in New York for people with physical disabilities; they designed the first chemical dependency program specifically for people with traumatic brain injuries; and they developed the first professional training program to teach substance abuse providers across the state how to identify brain injury in their clients and modify treatment protocol. AVRASA Members were fortunate to experience that exceptional training first hand at our January 2010 General Membership Meeting.
